ABOUT QUIET DEPTH

Quiet Depth isn't just another task on your to-do list. It's a gentle invitation.

Quiet Depth offers self-paced inner work for folks seeking clarity, calm, and courage—without adding more to their busy schedules.

“When I met Jung, he told me to be true to myself, and true to my type. And that is what I wish for you. If you go against your typological makeup, you go against your grain, and you will get splinters. Go with it, and your life will have ease, flow, and purpose.”

Robert A. Johnson, jungian analyst and author (1921–2018)

MEET THE FOUNDER

Lovely to meet you! I'm Dr. Anna Worthing, medical doctor and depth psychotherapist.

Dr. Anna Worthing

Hi, I'm Anna Worthing! I’m a medical doctor, depth psychotherapist, writer, and teacher.

My goal with Quiet Depth is to blend the clinical with the soulful, and to give you deep-yet-practical, clinically-grounded concepts that you can integrate into your everyday life.

The story behind Quiet Depth

I spend my days working with people carrying heavy burdens. My role in my day job is to listen far more than I speak. Part of my work involves reading and learning about some  fascinating and incredibly helpful psychological concepts. But although those thoughts influence the way I show up in the therapy room, I rarely get a chance to teach those concepts directly to patients.

I know that plenty of self-development focused folks (like yourself) would be interested in these insights from depth psychology, and find them useful. The problem is, these concepts are not always easy to access. Plus, these ideas are often described in pretty esoteric language (not the most helpful when you're trying to squeeze in a brief read before bedtime and keep your heavy eyelids from closing).

“Our inner life is worth fighting for. We can't systemize or strategize our soul, but we can tend it and keep it and care for ourselves on purpose.”

Emily P. Freeman, Next Right THing Podcast, episode 376

“Ask me whether what I have done is my life.”

william stafford, "ask me"

“The soul is like a wild animal— tough, resilient, savvy, self-sufficient, and yet exceedingly shy. If we want to see a wild animal, the last thing we should do is to go crashing through the woods, shouting for the creature to come out. But if we are willing to walk quietly into the woods and sit silently for an hour or two at the base of a tree, the creature we are waiting for may well emerge...”

Parker J. Palmer, "Listening to Life" in Let Your Life Speak

ABOUT QUIET DEPTH

Aperol Spritz is not just a photography brand—it’s an invitation into a world where la dolce vita is captured in every frame.

Founded by Sofia Bianco, the vision is steeped in a love of timeless beauty, Italian charm, and the golden, glamorous world of Slim Aarons. These photographs aren’t just images; they are heirlooms—snapshots of joy, intimacy, and style that will be cherished across generations.

Inner work as nuanced as you are

You're doing so much, but you still feel off-balance, somehow.

You’ve achieved so much, yet some days it feels like the world keeps spinning faster than you can breathe.

There’s ambition and accomplishment, yes—but also a faint question that runs through your mind in quiet moments:

Am I living fully, or just running from one thing to the next?

FAQ

How is this approach different from the mainstream self-help and therapy I've already tried (CBT, DBT, mindfulness, positive psychology, etc)?

I've already done basic work with CBT and traditional self-help frameworks. I’m looking for something deeper, more transformative. I need to know if your approach offers something unique.

I don’t want to waste time or money on something that doesn’t feel like it adds significant value to what I’ve already learned.

How will I know if this approach is actually going to work for me?

I’m looking for tangible, practical outcomes that can be measured. Depth psychology sounds intriguing, but I need assurance that it’s going to help me improve my life in meaningful ways.

I’m wary of abstract, esoteric concepts that don’t translate into real-world change.

What qualifications do you have to teach these topics?

What are the practical outcomes of doing shadow work or Jungian analysis?

I’m interested in understanding how engaging with my shadow or learning about archetypes will practically impact my personal growth, relationships, and career.

If I don’t see how this translates to real-world results, it might feel like an intellectual exercise that’s not worth the time or effort.
